SICILY. Syracuse. Hieron II, 275-215 BC. Tetralitron (Bronze, 34 mm, 35.67 g, 10 h), circa 217-215. Diademed head of Hieron II to left. Rev. IEPΩNOΣ Nike driving fast biga to right, holding kentron in her right hand and reins in her left; below, monogram. BAR issue 74. CNS II, 196 var. (reverse controls). HGC 2, 1546. Very rare and with a delightful light green patina. Good very fine.
